How it works
- Consultation
Photos, X-rays and a digital scan show how your teeth and bite sit.
- Your options
We explain whether aligners, fixed braces or a shorter limited treatment fit your teeth and your time in Korea, with the full price of each.
- Treatment
Aligners are changed every one to two weeks; braces are adjusted at regular visits, usually every 4 to 8 weeks.
- Retention
When teeth reach their planned position, a retainer keeps them there.
Insurance and cost
Korean health insurance generally does not cover orthodontics. The price depends on how much the teeth need to move and which appliance is used, so we tell you the full price of each option before you decide. Check-ups and scaling during treatment are still covered by insurance.
Planning around your stay in Korea
Tell us your expected stay at the first visit. If your visa or contract ends within a year, we may suggest a shorter, limited treatment, or plan the timing so you finish before you leave. If you move unexpectedly, we give you your records and a written summary so another dentist can continue.
Aftercare
- Brush after every meal and clean carefully around brackets or trays
- Wear aligners for the hours we advise; take them out only to eat and brush
- Avoid sticky snacks and very hard food with fixed braces
- Wear your retainer as instructed after treatment
Questions
How much do braces cost in Dangjin?
It depends on your teeth and the appliance. After the examination we give you the full price of each option in writing. We don't publish fixed prices because cases differ.
Are clear aligners cheaper than braces?
Not always. The price depends on how much movement is needed, not only on the type of appliance.
Can adults get braces?
Yes. Healthy gums matter more than age. We check your gums first and treat any gum problems before orthodontics.
What if I leave Korea before treatment ends?
Tell us early. We plan the timing with you and give you records and a summary so a dentist at home can continue.
General information, not a diagnosis. Your dentist will advise you after an examination.
